I’m Goutham, a software engineer. My focus is on ML/AI systems in production. I’m based in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Experience
Some of the things I’ve built:
- RAG-based applications that turn confusing, messy real-world processes into clear, actionable guidance
- LLM-powered feature that generates realistic, personalized scam emails using a user’s exposed data—helping them see how bad actors could target them.
- LLM-powered personalization that surfaces relevant features based on user data—reducing friction from discovery to activation
- Real-time fraud detection systems processing millions of events daily
- Predictive models that helped match guide dogs with their humans (yes, really)
- Neural network accelerators on FPGAs

Why I Write
This blog is where I share professional learnings—the technical insights, design decisions, and lessons that have shaped how I think about building ML systems. I find that writing clarifies my thinking, and I hope it’s useful to others navigating similar challenges.
Beyond Work
Outside of work, I enjoy staying close to what’s happening in AI—reading, experimenting with side projects, and building tools for problems I find interesting.
I enjoy learning about fun technical challenges and collaborating with great teams. Reach out if you want to find a way to work together !
